Henry’s Place will be a beautiful camp and retreat center in the foothills of Southern Utah that will provide life-impacting experiences to underprivileged urban youth.
Henry’s Place is being created to honor the vision of Las Vegas Metro P.D. Sgt. Henry Prendes, who died in the line of duty in 2006. Sgt Prendes always placed others’ needs before his own and became a police officer because it was in his heart to help people. Before his death, Sgt Prendes and his wife, Dawn, had dreamt of starting a camp to help the youth in the community he fought so hard to protect. Now that dream is well on the way to becoming a reality in the form of Henry’s Place, a beautiful 14-acre camp facility located in the foothills west of Cedar City, Utah.
God has provided land, inspired and committed leaders, and a tremendous vision to help the youth in our community, but we need your help to make it a reality. Go to the About Henry’s Place page to read more about that vision and then decide if you want to take advantage of this opportunity to impact lives and to honor Sgt Prendes’ legacy of service.
