What Board Members Do

Our Board of Directors is responsible for:

  • Providing strategic guidance to help fulfill our mission
  • Ensuring responsible stewardship of resources
  • Serving as ambassadors for Henry’s Place in the community
  • Supporting fundraising and donor development efforts
  • Participating in decision-making that shapes our programs and future

Expectations & Commitment

Board members are expected to:

  • Serve a three-year term (renewable)
  • Attend quarterly board meetings and participate in committee work
  • Actively support and promote Henry’s Place in the community
  • Agree with our faith statement. 
  • Make an annual financial gift that is personally meaningful
  • Share your skills, experience, and connections to advance our mission

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and life experiences.

We are especially seeking individuals with expertise in:

  • Fundraising & donor relations
  • Finance/accounting
  • Law & nonprofit compliance
  • Marketing & communications
  • Youth development or ministry
  • Business leadership or community advocacy
